Like many great ideas, gotoBilling originated from an unmet need. gotoBilling’s founder, Steve Roderick, served as an ISO in the payment processing industry for over ten years. In that role, Steve was frustrated with the need to have to string together several products to meet the varying needs of his merchants. He had to work with several different vendors, learn multiple systems, teach multiple systems to his merchants, and deal with a number of different support programs and groups, just to meet the needs of a single merchant. He wanted one solution to meet all varying needs of his increasingly sophisticated merchant. When he couldn’t find such a solution, he decided to create it. That one solution is gotoBilling.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The gotoBilling application, you see today, was originally marketed as ChexDirect. The software has been in commercial use for over a decade. In 2005, gotoBilling,Inc. was formed as the marketing entity for the platform. Throughout, the ownership has remained the same. At that time, the founders had worked in the payment processing industry for over ten years and the platform application had been under development for three years. The company’s operations are overseen by co-founders Steve Roderick, who serves as Chief Executive Officer and Stacy Roderick who serves as Chief Financial Officer.
Steve acquired an interest in computer technology while attending the University of South Florida’s Engineering College. Recognizing the enormous advantage that computer applications offer, he began focusing his career on computer processes in business. Steve has nearly 20 years of experience in payment processing, software development, and manufacturing. In addition to leading the development of the gotoBilling payment platform application, Steve has been instrumental in the development of check conversion systems, advanced payment networking, terminal applications, on-demand business processes, and secure wireless solutions for payment applications.
Stacy also attended the University of South Florida as a civil engineering student. She has extensive experience working with computer hardware, network applications, and Web application security. Her experience includes 12 years in the payment industry managing terminal applications and programming terminals for credit card acceptance. Stacy is an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and is currently in charge of payment regulation compliance, application integrity, and quality control at gotoBilling. Stacy is also heavily involved in managing the application interface and user experience.
The company employs an in-house team of dedicated professionals who work together to provide the most enhanced, user-friendly, and highly supported payment platform application in the industry. Their goal is to be the white-label platform for progressive, technology driven registered ISOs. gotoBilling works hard to stay ahead of the curve with regard to new technology developments and application improvements. They invest in ongoing education and strive to effectively utilize the most current technology and social trends to support and promote their partners as well as the payment platform.
